We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill an opening for a Controller. This position will report to the President.

Primary duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Annual budget development including operating, capital expense and cash
  • Quarterly Forecast development
  • Monthly financial reports including Income Statements and Balance Sheets
  • Cash Management
  • Inventory Reconciliation
  • Timely and accurate GAAP accounting reporting of all financial and operating results
  • Maximization of cash flow while assuring optimal availability of raw materials for processing
  • Development of long-range Strategic Plans
  • Development of optimal credit terms for customers, vendors and suppliers
  • Assurance that all manufacturing costs, including inventory related entries, are properly recorded in the shop
  • Development of reports and analysis, in conjunction with other company managers to monitor manufacturing productivity, capacity, manpower requirements, quality, inventories, and cash flow
  • Implementation of an Inventory Monitoring System including regular reconciliation of book versus physical inventory levels with ability to timely initiate required inventory adjustments
  • Assurance of timely payment of accounts payables, receipt of accounts receivables and timely and accurate tax filings
  • Work as a member of the Quote team with Sales and Purchasing to evaluate new orders as well as new pricing for existing orders
  • Act as the main point of contact for the outside IT consultants and be the company lead for any IT project
  • Coordinate the Annual Financial Audit
  • Assist the President in maintaining a strong relationship with the Bank

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and managerial experience in relevant manufacturing setting
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification is highly desirable
  • Strong cost accounting experience
  • High level of character and ethical standards
  • Strong Communication skills to include verbal, written and presentation
  • Competent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and integrated ERP systems, experience with Vantage by Epicor is highly desirable
